Study on Stress–Strain Relationship of Coir Fiber-Reinforced Red Clay Based on Duncan–Chang Model

Compared with other natural fibers, coir fiber has good strength characteristics and long-term anti-biodegradation ability. At present, most studies on randomly distributed fiber-reinforced soil have focused cohesionless or granular soil. In this paper, the influence of deviatoric stress shear index red clay different content was assessed by a consolidated undrained (CU) triaxial compression test. Since hyperbolic variational character stress–strain relation samples conformed to hypothesis Duncan–Chang model nonlinear elastic model, used fit it, influences confining pressure parameters were studied. The determined testing be 0%, 0.2%, 0.25%, 0.3%, 0.35% 0.4% dry mass. It been found that in random radial manner can significantly increase clay, thus effectively case mixing. cohesion first increases then decreases content, an optimum 0.3%. internal friction angle changes little increasing content.
